PAINT YOUR OWN POTTERY

When you visit ClayTime to paint pottery, you are greeted by a wall of ceramic bisque with pieces ranging from mugs, bowls, and plates to banks, boxes, and figurines. After choosing your piece to paint, it is then your job as the artist to envision your masterpiece—what will my design be? What colors shall I choose? ClayTime offers over forty colored underglazes (the paint for your pottery) as well as stamps, stencils, sponges, writing utensils, and a variety of other supplies to bring your vision to life. Once your piece is fired and returned to you, it will be food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.

At ClayTime, you pay the price of the piece you choose as well as the hourly studio fee. This fee pays for the glazing and firing of your piece, your choice of six colors per piece, and the use of any supplies in the studio.

Studio fees:

Children ages 12 and under — $6/hour
Adults ages 13 and up — $8/hour

The hourly studio fee is prorated after the first hour. This means that an additional 15 minutes of painting time for a child costs $1.50 and for an adult, $2. The studio fee time begins when you begin painting. The time you spend brainstorming your ideas and deciding your colors to choose is at no cost to you.

The majority of our pieces are between $15-$18. Choose from a wide variety of pieces—whether you’re looking for a bowl, a troll, or a gnome for your home.
